  • "Passing Y Pattern, To Unknown Coded Receiver"
  • Set up players in Y passing pattern.  Player in Red in Video is "being trained"
  • Coach, standing behind the Red player being trained, holds up a color to indicated which player will "show".
  • Players are hidden behind cones and "show" if prompted by the coach's color
  • Go through 2 cycles so that each player is "trained" 3-4 times.
  • Each cycle should include 5-6 reps; Increase speed of play each cycle
  • TOTAL TIME: 6-8 minutes

  • Space: Inside 10X10 Yards Square (use extra cones to make boundary visible)
  • Game should be chaos.
  • Ask players to organize the chaos by "completing the first pass"
  • Game designed intentionally to create a Large volume of turnovers per time - remind players "complete the ""first"" pass (not the best, or most dangerous, but the FIRST pass)
  • Keep time at 45 seconds to 90 seconds. Higher intensity, less time.

V. SMALL GAME 45 MINS to 60 MINS
Idea: 6v6 plus 2 possession -- OR -- 6v6 plus 2 Directional
