A different environment. The same development mission. Futsal gives athletes a place to explore their touch, solve problems in tight spaces, and enjoy the game together.
Development through a different game
Futsal is a small-sided game played on a hard court with a low-bounce ball. Space is limited, teammates are close, and the next decision arrives quickly. WSA uses this setting to practice skills that athletes can bring back to outdoor soccer.
Receiving, turning, using the sole of the foot, and keeping the ball close in crowded spaces.
Looking before receiving, finding passing options, and responding as the picture changes.
Trying a move, combining with a teammate, and building confidence through engaging small-sided play.
One athlete · One development journey
Development does not need to look the same in every season. Futsal offers an indoor training option during the winter transition, while keeping athletes connected to the ball and to their club community.
Team training and matches develop technical habits, relationships, and understanding of the outdoor game.
Weekly futsal brings a fresh challenge indoors, with an emphasis on close control, combinations, and creative play.
Athletes return to outdoor training with more opportunities to use the touches and decisions they practiced on the court.
Each athlete attends one assigned weekly group throughout the program.
Twelve sessions provide 15 total hours of scheduled training per athlete.
A WSA Futsal Academy training shirt is included in the planned program.
| Session time | Night 1 capacity | Night 2 capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 5:30–6:45 PM | 30 athletes | 30 athletes |
| 7:00–8:15 PM | 30 athletes | 30 athletes |
Each group uses two half-court areas, with up to 15 athletes in each area. Total planned capacity is 120 unique athletes, each attending once per week.
Season dates, eligible ages, location, specific weekdays, final registration fee, and group placement details will be announced before registration opens.
Understanding the investment
Indoor court space must be rented. WSA does not currently own a dedicated futsal facility. Bringing this program indoors requires reserving a gym for the full training schedule, creating a direct expense for the program.
The futsal fee helps fund that rented space, additional coaching support, and each athlete’s academy shirt. It supports a separate indoor training opportunity alongside the club’s outdoor program.
Facility rental secures consistent court access for two nights each week across the 12-week program.
Additional coaches help deliver sessions across both half-court training areas.
Each enrolled athlete receives a WSA Futsal Academy training top.
The final registration fee and any optional competition charges will be published before families register.
