2014 College Signing Period opened on Wednesday, February 5th.  Read on to see where some of the WSA early college commitments are headed, and see a short interview and photos from Signing Day for WSA players.

Congratulations to all of WSA's seniors.  Falling in line with the tradtion at WSA several players made college commitments as National Signing Period opened on National Signing Day, Wednesday, February 5th.

"What I have seen the last two days watching my kids sign letters of intent to play college soccer has made this journey all worthwhile," reported WSA 96 Girls Coach Kevin King.  Coach King has coached the 96 girls the past 5 years.  "Every one of the seniors on the 96's that wanted to play in college was offered a scholarship and able to continue their education and soccer careers.  I could not be more proud of the girls."

The 96 girls journey which dates back to one of the club's original youth academy program teams, has included it's fair share of trials and tribulations.  The team which was in it's early stages at the VERY bottom of the state's ranking list of teams, will conclude their careers among the top 5-6 teams in Oklahoma soccer in their age division.  "Their success will not be totally measured on wins and losses, but how they have stood the test of time and been a team for so long," reported King.

When coach King was asked about the kids moving on to the next level it was obvious he was very proud and expected great things in the future, "My expectations are very high.  We always talk about living for the moment and seizing opportunities that you get. I feel comfortable that all of the girls that will play at the next level will contribute early and be very productive in thier college careers."
