FIVE WSA PLAYERS TO TOUR ENGLAND
Bustos, Garcia, Moreno, Camarena, Vasquez Depart July 31st
Travel with SuperClubs National Team

In the world of football there are certain "dreams" all youngsters possess and hold common.  Visiting the hallowed grounds of one of your favorite professional clubs is certainly one of those.  This August, five young men from West Side Alliance Soccer Club will depart for England to embark on a tour that will take them to the grounds of the famous Manchester United and other renowned English football clubs including Birmingham City and Sunderland.  Adolpho Bustos, Alex Garcia, Marcos Moreno, and Manuel Camarena from WSA Sharks 01 White u12 boys team, and Angel Vasquez, from WSA 98 u14 boys team, will each arrive at the University of Chester in England on August 1st.  Later that evening the group, along with WSA Coach, Adam Vasquez, will take in the Spain vs Morroco Olympic soccer match played at Old Trafford.

Seem like a dream.  It gets better.  Each of the boys will then embark on a 10 day tour training and playing matches with the SuperClubs National Team, a side that consists of 25 invited players from the Midwest Region of the United States, selected by the SuperClubs.  The "Superclubs National Team" will represent the United States in clashes against famed English footballing clubs such as Sunderland, Birmingham City, and Scottish football club Glasgow Rangers.

"I am proud of these boys.  They each have worked very hard and this is a tremendous opportunity," reports WSA Sharks coach Rey Bustos. Coach Bustos’ WSA Sharks team participated and reached the finals of the AC Milan tournament held in Tulsa over Memorial Day weekend.  It was one of many tournament trophies the WSA Sharks team has earned the past two years.  "This is more than soccer.  It is a great opportunity to see the game in other places and meet people from other parts of the world.  It is an opportunity that is tremendous," Bustos reported.  He also added, "I am very thankful Adam (Vasquez) is going with the boys. We would not be able to send our kids that far away without knowing they were safe and in good hands."

While Bustos, Garcia, Moreno, and Camarena all play for the 01 WSA Sharks u12 team, Angel Vasquez plays for the WSA 98 boys team. Angel is a midfielder for the 98 boys who have finished runner-up in the Oklahoma Premiere League and reached the State Semifinals each of the past two years.  Angel will play for the SuperClubs National team u14’s while his clubmates play with the u12’s.

Adam Vasquez reported, "We are very excited about the opportunity.  We think this is great exposure for our club and we know it will be a good trip for the boys."  The group departs July 31st, intersecting with their National Team teammates in Atlanta.  In the meantime some of the players may attend another version of "World Football" locally, at the WSA Camp of Excellence during the week of July 23rd at WSA home grounds at Rivercity Parks.

"We are excited first and foremost for the opportunity these kids have in front of them. It will be a great experience, and something they’ll remember their entire lives.  We are also proud and grateful they will represent our club, our soccer community in Oklahoma, and our country. You couldn’t be represented by better folks.  They are tremendous ambassadors for our sport, our club, and our community," reports WSA Director of Coaching, Roger Bush.

WSASOCCER.ORG will try to maintain a log of travels and reports of the experience every few days during the journey so please stay connected and posted for news of the tour.  Congratulations again to each of boys for their achievement in being selected.  Good luck in England!
