WEST SIDE ALLIANCE SC BOYS PROGRAM TOP IN OKLAHOMA PREMIERE LEAGUE
4 Champions; 6 Teams Place Top 2, Tradition Continues

WSA Soccer's boys program continued its tradition of excellence in the top flights of competition in Oklahoma soccer this past Fall, by placing 6 teams in the top 2 of the Oklahoma Premiere League.  Notably, the club saw 4 teams finish top-2 in OPL DI, more than any other club in Oklahoma.

The WSA 03 Boys Red and WSA 00 Boys Red were crowned OPL DI Champions in Fall 2014.  WSA 03 Boys Red, will make WSA archives as yet another boys team posting a "perfect" league record, by going unbeaten, scoring 38 goals to 5 against, clearing league runner-up OFC 03 by 5 points in the standings.  The WSA 00  Boys Red also topped an OFC team in their championship quest, tallying 25 points to OFC's 19 in the league race.  WSA 01 Boys White and WSA 99 Boys Blue both captured OPL DI, runner-up hardware this Fall.  WSA 01 Boys White needed a win against Norman on the road, but could only muster a draw, which gave TSC 01 a 2-point cushion over WSA in the final standings, while the WSA 99 Boys Blue squad found itself only 1 point off the standard set by TSC 99 Boys who claimed 23 points to WSA's 22 points in the u15 boys division.

The consistency in the WSA boys program was also evident as the WSA 97 Boys Red and WSA 99 boys both competed in the Premiere League West.  The WSA 97 Boys Red did not compete in the Oklahoma Premiere League Fall edition, but would have been a strong candidate for another OPL trophy for The Side.  The WSA 98 Boys Red, finished their league campaign in the second division as Champions, and will join club mates, WSA 98 Boys Blue, in the first division next season by promotion.  WSA 02 Boys Red also clamied a DII championship trophy to win pomotion to the Division I ranks next season.   Several other boys teams were middle of the pack in the OPL and only a game off the top-2 places in their league table.

WSA 95 Boys were crowned OPL DI Champions in 2013. WSA has one of the state's
longest tradition of boys teams winning the OPL and advancing in Oklahoma State Cup.

While the boys programs was strutting it's stuff this past Fall, the girls program also saw the WSA 97 Girls finish a close Runner-Up in their OPL Diviison I campaign, while the WSA 01 Girls White won the DIII OPL Championship.  WSA 98 Girls finished second among Oklahoma teams in the Fall edition of the Premiere League West, not competing in the Oklahoma Premiere League, and the WSA 02 Girls claimed a trophy in the Green Country Soccer Association "A" Division for u12 girls.

Congratulations to all WSA teams on a great Fall season.  The club set another record in trophies claimed at various events throughout the Spring, and are set to once again make a splash on National Signing Day in February.  Good luck to all teams preparing for the upcoming Spring Season, winter showcase season, and the preliminary work being done to prepare for the 2014 State Cup.
