THE SIDE ANNOUNCES 2017-18 TEAM FORMATION INFORMATION
LOOK AHEAD INTO THE FUTURE

WSA Soccer has announced several of it's staff assignments, as well as team formation information on the heels of the groundbreaking news the club will join the Oklahoma Premiere Clubs and the Red River National Premiere League for 2017-18.

All 2017-2018 Team Formation information for u11-u19 competitive teams can be
found here.  You can view the team staff assignments here (keep in mind these will evolve over the next several days as new coach information is announced).

EXCITING EXPANSION OF WSA SOCCER PLAYER POOL & FACILITIES
HISTORIC NUMBER OF TEAMS & OVER 150 ACRES OF SOCCER FIELDS

WSA Soccer projects the formation of the most soccer teams in club history during this team formation period.  Multiple affiliates have flown under the WSA umbrella for several years, and even moreso in recent years.  WSA North Division is currently highlighted by Claremore Soccer Club, while WSA South Division includes Ft. Gibson and Tahlequah.  WSA's West Division continues to include Sapulpa and Sand Springs, while WSA's Central Division includes the Tulsa Metro area.  WSA expects to announce further expansion in the coming days.

The WSA Home Bases include facilities at each of the divisions and teams who primarily operate from each of those facilities.

EXPANDED TRAINING GROUNDS - INCLUDING EAST TULSA & BROKEN ARROW
T TOWN 30 ACRE FACILITY CENTRALIZES LONG DISTANT AFFILIATES

WSA has added a lighted 30 acre facility in Broken Arrow to it's expanse of resources.  The T-Town Ranch (pictured below at an 07 Girls training session) includes 6 training quads under lights, provides a centralized meeting place for the West, Central, South and North Division teams, as well as a full clubhouse, restrooms, office complex, and under currently construction an indoor Sports Performance Training Center.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT INITATIVES IN PLACE & ON HORIZON
ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE FUTURE

Aside from improved facilities for family convenience and better training opportunities, WSA has been busy with several other program initiatives recently.

This past year WSA added a
vertical transition programming and has unveiled plans to partner with international professional clubs.  This year boys players at WSA have an opportunity to take a professional tour and trial playing soccer inside a pro club setting in Mexico.  Coach Juan Castillo, WSA's Director of Vertical Transitions (Pro Pathways) is excited to launch this project within WSA.  Further plans are undisclosed, but will be exciting for all players once released!

WSA is also excited to release information regarding full-time director positions being added to the club's already strong leadership front.  These announcements are forthcoming.  Stay tuned!

WSA remains on the cutting edge of player safety with it's innovative concussion management system, and will continue to partner with medical experts who will be retained by WSA for injury assessment and evaluations.

WSA also became an
official partner with College Fit Finder an expansive and extensive College Search software that is available to every WSA College Prospect, free of charge (annual value to each player who uses it = $100/player).  College Fit Finder helps players generate profiles for online promotion, and more significantly helps players filter the thousands of college options by cost, geography, division, academics, and other filter categories, then places the player in "direct contact" with the college program, and the college program in direct contact with the player!

Club Techincal Director, Alex McLaurin, has grown the club's Sports Performance program.  The strength, conditioning, and nutritional program is wholistic, and with new facilities, new programming initiatives are already being planned.  The WSA elite level player will be immersed in a top-class and professionalized training environment.  Coach McLaurin and Executive Director Ryan Bush have completed phase I of implementing "The WSA Way" curriculum which contains both a player and coach education pathway, and soon a parent education pathway!

The club has purchased video analysis equipment, which includes the refurbish of the team video room at West Bank Ken Lovelee Clubhouse, a team video room planned at T Town, and the club's own 30' Telescopic Video Camera for game filming and game analysis.

NEW LEAGUING PLATFORM MEANS EXPANDED OPPORTUNITY
OKLAHOMA PREMIERE CLUBS & RED RIVER NATIONAL PREMIERE CLUB

WSA Announced this past month that it will be a founding member of the
Oklahoma Premiere Clubs.  This innovative new state and regional wide conference of clubs will lead a streamlined scheduling process that will enhance periodization and improve regional league travel and scheduling for families.  WSA will have at least 12 teams participate in the National Premiere League platform, providing more players from WSA expanded opportunities to compete at Regional and National levels.  The Oklahoma Premiere Club platform also provides WSA players direct access to Olympic Development Program evaluations and assessments on a weekly basis.

NEW FEES FOR 2017-18
LESS EXPENSE TO PARENTS THIS YEAR!

Believe it or not WSA will role out an annualized expense schedule for parents in the u11-u19 competitive divisions of the Central Division (Tulsa Home Base), that is less expensive in 2017-18 than in 2016-17!  This is due to an overall cost savings with respect to OPC, NPL, and State Cup fees, compared to previous fees, and also the club's renewal of an agreement with NIKE Soccer. In addition the club's decision to maintain status quo on prices from the previous year has helped provide an overall cost savings to families in 2017-18.

FACILITY DEVELOPMENT & EQUIPMENT
EARNED BY THE SIDE

WSA players earned the funds to purchase 20 flat-faced training goals, adding to a purchase of an additional 14 full sized portable training goals, to fully outfit all WSA facilities with needed equipment.  A well done and thank you to all of our players for working to earn their facility improvements!

Rivercity Parks facilty, WSA's primary game facility is in the midst of a $1M facelift. Thus far the facility has seen a new water park splashpad, located near the new modernized concession and restroom facility.  There is a new meeting room clubhouse on the grounds, expanded irrigation, player benches, turf management improvements, a new paved parking lot (see photo to right), another new parking lot on the way, and finally a showcase full-sized professionally maintained pitch (the "New RC Field 1").   WSA alumni can be proud of this achievement from years of invested energy into a game that has taken root in the community of Sand Springs, the founding home of WSA Soccer.

NEW UNIFORMS & LOGO FOR 25 YEAR SILVER ANNIVERSARY
REVEAL DATE MAY 19th!

The Side will unveil it's 2017-18 Uniform kits and also a new logo.  The kit and logo will both reflect the club's celebration of its Silver Anniversary this year!

MORE TO COME
EVOLVE CONSTANTLY

WSA has a current 5-year vision for facility development for the club that has been proposed by a 5-year effort of the Field of Dreams committee.  WSA hopes to reveal these plans later this Fall.  New programming, new kits and logos, new coaches, new teams, new leagues, but the same core values, the same mission, and a constant understanding that The Side Serves others, will move WSA to the end of this chapter of it's history and into the next.

MIA SAN MIA.

This is who we are.
