THE SIDE PARTNERS WITH TULSA ROUGHNECKS 
The Evolutions Group Backs Partnership

WSA announced tonight from ONEOK Field a new partnership for the club program at a quarterly coaching staff meeting.  WSA has entered into a partnership with the Tulsa Roughnecks of the USL (United Soccer Leagues).  The Tulsa Roughnecks are in their second season of existence as a USL member team, having brought back to Tulsa the branding of the Roughnecks from the 1980's who are largely responsible for sewing the seeds of growth for the sport in Tulsa.   The Roughnecks play in the USL which lands under the MLS in the professional leaguing structure of the United States.  
   The strategic partnership affords community involvement and support from the WSA membership fan base on behalf of the Roughnecks, and is designed to provide unique and strategic player and coaching development opportunities for WSA.  

   WSA who also partners with Rangers FC of Scotland, has seen true benefit from earnest participation in partnerships with professional clubs, and expects the Roughneck's partnership to provide the same if not more.  "The opportunity to align with the Tulsa Roughnecks is exciting for WSA," reports WSA Executive Director, Roger Bush.  "A community based team at the professional level can afford unique opportunities for our programming.  We are thrilled to be aligned with the Roughnecks, to integrate their brand, and to build relationships that we can capitalize upon for the players in the WSA program and families in The Side's community."

    "The Roughnecks are excited about the partnership for the coming season.  WSA has already shown great enthusiasm for this partnership and our team.  Our organization believes strongly in community involvement through development of youth players and coaches.  We know promoting youth soccer helps us grow the sport in Tulsa as well as Oklahoma," reports Barry Williams, President of The Evolutions Group. 
   

    Through a unique opportunity afforded by The Evolutions Group, the WSA partnership will function as a Gold Level Youth Affiliate with the Roughnecks, affording WSA members access to several unique opportunities through the Tulsa Roughnecks organization such as 20+ season tickets, discount codes for all tickets to every Roughnecks game, and a "club night" that we will be telling you about in the near future!  

    WSA teams have already taken advantage of season ticket opportunities (see photo above of WSA 04 Girls with Oily E Coyote, the Roughneck mascot) which will persist throughout the remainder of the Spring and Summer Roughneck season.  The Side's Club Day at ONEOK field is being planned for WSA members (mark August 6th on your calendars now!).  Discounted ticket purchases will be available to WSA members, as well as opportunities for teams to particiate as the Roughneck's Starting XI pre-game walk-out ceremonies, and a Roughneck clinic will be planned for this summer.  

    WSA looks forward to the support the Tulsa Roughnecks will bring to our great community of passionate soccer enthusiasts.  And we are excited to get behind Tulsa's Roughnecks to support the local professional team in their 2016 season and beyond!
