       a PERSONAL BIO a

FAVORITE PLAYER:
Leo Messi - for his pure talent and speed, but Rino Gattuso because of his hard nosed type of play much like myself.

FAVORITE CLUB TEAM:
Chelsea United enough said........

FAVORITE SAYING:
When you cheat yourself, your cheating your teammates in return.

COACHING/TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
Deep inside of every child there is a longing for greatness. It is this longing to achieve and be great that I hope as a coach to ignite on fire. It is my job to create an environment that is both challenging and fun for kids so that they will strive to be better each and every time they set foot on the field. Try to define what greatness means and you will ultimately fail, but instead come up with levels of greatness for which you can aim to reach. Once a level of greatness is reached refocus and begin to pursue the next level. It is my belief that this mindset will create a method for which you will never plateau and will always have something to strive for.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.
Vince Lombardi

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."

SHORT LIFE BIO

I was born and raised in Broken Arrow about 300 yards from a Broken Arrow public school which I never attended. I started playing soccer when I was 6 in the BASC league and played there until I was 10 and competitive started. Since I never went to Broken Arrow and instead went to Bixby I naturally tried out for Bixby. I later played for Juventus and Tempest 86 all of which were viewed as average teams that would over achieve from time to time. Sounds like the rap WSA had for so long. When I was a senior in high school I moved over to WSA and joined the 86/85 team thanks to my friend Joey Kennington. It was about this time that I realized that Soccer was something that I could be really good at if I applied all the energy that had put into basketball to it. Under Roger Bush I learned to understand the game from more of a tactical stand point than I had ever been taught before. Under Coach Bush’s tutelage I had a very successful senior year both competitively and in high school. I was offered several opportunities to go and play in college but was lost and didn’t decide anything until the last second and ended up just going to school at Oklahoma Christian University. Here me and a few friends gained the reputation for being pretty good soccer players in intramurals and eventually I was asked to come and practice with the varsity team in the off season. From there I was picked up and added to the team and the rest is history. I overcame a lot while in college with playing time coming sparingly but eventually earned my spot on the field my senior year. Interesting note I still have one year of eligibility left.
