WSA 92 girls Capture Clorox Cup Championship Playing Up
The WSA 92 girls continued their winning ways at the Clorox Cup tournament in Northwest Arkansas this past season, closing out an extremely successful 2007 campaign, by claiming their fifth finalist trophy, and third championship trophy of the season.  The Clorox Cup championship was extra special because the team played up in the u17 division, and defeated three top 91 teams along the way.

WSA opened the tournament with a 3 goal win over BVSC Stars 91, on a hat trick by Amber Pickering.  The team then defeated NWAL Flash 91 by a score line of 4-0, before defeating local OPL counterpart, MWC Fusion 92, 4-2, after trailing 2-1 at halftime.
WSA ran into Topeka Select 91 in the finals, and playing on a shortened roster, with only 12 players available all weekend, the team mustered the courage to battle the full time to a draw.  Coach Michael Beyer reported the team "played with dignity and pride" all weekend.  After full time the match would go to penalties, and goalkeeper, Nicki, would heroically turn away 2 attempts from the spot, and WSA would find the net four times to capture the win.

WSA 92 is currently ranked 4th in the state, finished runner-up in league play, was finalist in the OKC Cup, champions of the MAGS Tournament, and played 30 matches this season with only 2 losses to their name.
The WSA 92 girls are coached by Beyer, and team manager is Mrs. Pickering.
Congratulations ladies on a great 2007 campaign and thanks for representing your club, community, and families with such class and dignity.
Respect Everyone... FEAR NO ONE!
