FROM WSA ARSENAL DIRECTOR OF COACHING BILLY WHITEHEAD:
It is estimated that at least a few thousand people in and around fort Gibson are currently either displaced or stranded. West and south Fort Gibson are under water. East Fort Gibson is dry. It is being used as a staging point and aid drop area.
The situation will not improve until the water goes down.
There is still a road from east fort Gibson to tahlequah. WSA 04G Black is using it to run supplies from Tahlequah to the High school gym. Anyone that wants to donate money right now can send it via cash app to $WSAmom. Tina is filling her suburban with what she can.
Churches, Red Cross and national guard will get to all of these people - eventually. Right now we are doing what we can to help.
There will be a collection tomorrow/Monday, May 27th at The Ridge Church in Broken Arrow (AKA T Town Training Grounds for WSA Soccer near Braum's, near Coweta exit off BA Expway)
5:30 - 8:30 PM drop off - Monday, May 27th @ The Ridge (WSA's T Town Training Center):
7401 S. 209th E. Ave. Broken Arrow, OK.
Anything donated will be taken to the Old Gym at Fort Gibson HS
